LOS ANGELES — Remember last winter? The Dodgers were viewed as locks to sign Bryce Harper or at the very least trade for J.T. Realmuto and Corey Kluber. It didn’t happen. Or the year before? The Dodgers were a frontrunner to land Shohei Ohtani and bound to trade for Giancarlo Stanton or Christian Yelich. None of that happened either. With the Winter Meetings about to begin, it has started again. As they head to San Diego for the annual festival of room service and rumors, the Dodgers are linked to top free agents Anthony Rendon, Gerrit Cole and Stephen Strasburg and portrayed as trade suitors for young stars Francisco Lindor and Mookie Betts. While they have spent to keep their own, the Dodgers haven’t signed a top-tier free agent since December 2012 when then-GM Ned Colletti

She’s doing fine, but I expect that she will be seeing an increase in some ongoing health problems before long so she will eventually need help. What is my moral obligation? My mother gave me shelter and food, but she also enabled a situation that made me a child victim. Could you help me here? What do I owe my mother? — LS. Dear LS: First, let me say that I’m deeply sorry that your childhood was so hard. You aren’t alone with this kind of pain, but that doesn’t make the fact that you never had the protection that a child deserves any easier. My feeling about adult children from neglectful and/or abusive families and any obligation, if there is any, toward their parents is tha

There's no revenge factor for Pulaski Academy and its coach, Kevin Kelley, in today's Class 5A state championship game. It doesn't matter that the Bruins were defeated in last year's state title game by their archrival Little Rock Christian. BYU Counseling and Psychological Services recently made a mental health app accessible for BYU students. The Sanvello app is free to BYU students who use their student email to set up a new account. Sanvello allows students to access meditation walk-throughs and Spotify playlists while also keeping track of daily mood changes. A screenshot from Sanvello. (Sanvello) Klint Hobbs, assistant clinical professor and psychologist at BYU, talked about some of the features offered through this app. He compared this new app to SilverCloud — a system that has been offered at BYU for some time. TripAdvisor, Inc., the world’s largest travel platform, announced the acquisition of leading menu management company SinglePlatform from Endurance International Group to help the more than five million restaurants listed on TripAdvisor attract more diners and offer a better guest experience.
