Trends and Strategies Shaping Social Media Marketing in 2020 (#SMTLive Recap) – Social Media Today

Social Media Marketing
The first #SMTLive Twitter chat of 2020 (and the new decade) was one to remember.  Our topic of conversation was "Discussing Social Media Marketing Goals for 2020". We had a lively chat about personal growth, professional goals, current trends in social media and helpful marketing strategies. As promised, I'm here to share some highlights from our conversation. We covered a lot, but there were two conversation topics, in particular, that stood out to me as noteworthy. What Video Games Get Right about Motivation – Psychology Today

Motivation

Take out your cuneiform scroll and let’s practice writing the 12 letters of our alphabet,” tend to think of video games as a waste of time.We see children and teenagers playing on their consoles, and can almost see their brains deteriorating. “Video games,” we say, pointing our index finger to the air, “are a distraction from studying and thinking! Now hand me the remote so I can watch Matlock.” While I won’t disagree that some games have very little intrinsic value, the days of spinning a circular joystick to move a dash up and down a screen and hit a square back and forth with an opponent are long over. According to a recent article in the journal

As of Monday, it remained unclear how the brand would proceed with its marketing strategy leading up to the Super Bowl. There are currently no plans to change the Super Bowl spot, which is set to show a funeral for Mr. Peanut. Your business failed. You experienced a health scare. Unfortunately, that’s a part of life. The thing to keep in mind, as Rocky Balboa would say, “it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”How to Maintain Your Motivation Of course, that’s easier said than done when you’re at your lowest point.
