Marketing professionals have an opportunity to learn new strategies and skills through a digital marketing course at UAB.
Business professionals in Birmingham now have an opportunity to advance their digital knowledge through the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s digital media professional courses. Introductory- and four-week courses will focus on digital marketing and social media fundamentals and will be offered in the spring.
Marketing directors and managers who were never formally trained in digital marketing strategy, planning, tactics and analytics will gain foundational knowledge. The Collat School of Business course will offer information on constantly changing trends in online marketing for attendees to develop a better understanding of the digital marketing landscape in 2020.
Attendees will have a better understanding of creating a strategic, integrated digital marketing plan complete with content calendars, ads, social media posts and goals. They will learn how marketers leverage Google analytics, Google ads and social media marketing data to inform strategy development.
A new introductory seminar for the Foundations of Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing will be offered beginning Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost of the class is $200. The full course begins Jan. 31 with classes on Feb. 7, 21 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of the full course is $2,800 or $2,600 if you attend the introductory seminar.
