Motivation
After an offseason that saw Lonnie Walker IV spark the imagination of Spurs fans with an inspirational Summer League performance and “breakout” preseason game against the Rockets, the start of the 2019-20 season has been anything-but for the second-year swingman. While everyone knew he had a deep pool of veterans to overcome and would have to earn his playing time, this isn’t the start that was envisioned. So far, Walker has appeared in 5 of 8 games, playing a grand total of 15 minutes, only exceeding 4 minutes twice. In those 15 minutes, he has hit 1-4 shots from the field, grabbed 4 rebounds, and has a 0:2 assist-to-turnover ratio. His first 4+ minute stint came against the Clippers, when he produced two rebounds, two fouls, and missed his only shot. Afterwards, this is what Gregg

In the fight, the Brazilian suffered his first defeat inside the Octagon, losing by first-round TKO. While he is reluctant to make excuses or take anything away from Anderson, he feels he was not in the right headspace ahead of the fight. “I am always very confident but I don’t feel the motivation to fight. I have been very far away from my family many times and I was sad with a lot of problems with my team, my coach and my life,” Walker told BJPENN.com. “I’m not happy to fight and it is very stressful for fight week. Some things go wrong and it impacts me a lot. I don’t let it try to affect me but I don’t feel very happy to fight

Sixers 'using the pressure as motivation,' says managing partner Josh Harris – NBCSports.com

Motivation
It’s been almost six months since Kawhi Leonard’s game-winning jumper hung on the rim for what felt like an eternity and ended the Sixers’ season. An awful lot has changed since then. Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick are gone. Al Horford and Josh Richardson are here. The coaching and medical staffs have seen plenty of turnover. But more than anything, the mindset has changed. Part of that can be traced back to Leonard’s quadruple doink, but this attitudinal shift has been a long time coming. It’s what managing partner Josh Harris envisioned when he bought the team back in 2011.  The Sixers were mired in NBA purgatory during the Doug Collins era. A playoff run that only occurred thanks to Derrick Rose’s significant knee injury may have provided some false hope, but Harris knew things

Self Help
If you’ve ever wondered whether popular writers feel like frauds for giving you advice, the answer is yes, we do.I’m not perfect. I don’t live by all my own tips. I’d cease to exist. I’m human. I have flaws. I change a lot too. My 28-year-old self can’t benefit from my 26-year-old-writing, except to see how far I’ve come. How much I’ve learned. What I remember. Whether I was right or wrong, and how naïve I was to write what I have written. But, maybe, your 26-year-old self can. “Hey there. How are you? I used to be 26 once. Wanna have a chat with that guy? Sure. Maybe, you two will get along.” That’s what it says. No more. No less. It’s not advice. It’s an invitation. A marker of a person long gone, frozen in time. If you happen to pass by, maybe, they can point the way. I think that’s
